RM of Mount Pleasant’s story
The Rural Municipality of Mount Pleasant No. 2 incorporated as a rural municipality on December 11, 1911. It lies in the southeast corner of Saskatchewan, right up against the United States border, where its neighbour across the line is Renville County, North Dakota.
Within the RM are the town of Carnduff and the village of Carievale, along with the locality of Elmore. The RM's office is in Carnduff, and a council and an appointed administrator meet on the second Tuesday of each month to run municipal business.
